100% yes!

Over the years I have had the pleasure of working with (literally!) hundreds of clients from all walks of life, all ability levels and all with their own individual reasons for starting Pilates.

I know it can be a little daunting starting out on a new fitness programme, we all know about the good intentions that have failed us in the past and those self limiting beliefs that tell us we’re “too this or too that” but believe me….

With years of experience I can say wholeheartedly and without any doubt whatsoever,

so what exactly is pilates?

Pilates is a form of exercise that concentrates on strengthening the body from your core, leading to an improvement in general fitness and overall well-being.

Pilates can be compared to yoga in a lot of ways because we concentrate on your posture, balance and flexibility. The brilliant news is that with Pilates the chance of injury is much lower than with many other more forms of exercise making it an excellent option for anyone regardless of your age, fitness level or physical ability.

Pilates also focuses on the mind-body connection, and you’ll find with practise your mind becomes as toned as your body because doing the various exercises requires awareness of your breathing and the way your body moves.

Whatever your goal is with Pilates, whether you’re looking to loose weight, get back in shape after having a baby, or you’re looking to improve your general fitness and recover from injury Pilates is a wonderful way to balance your body and mind.
